About Canonyx

Canonyx started as a simple idea.

A place to put thoughts that would otherwise just sit in my head.

Ever since I was younger, I’ve never really played games at face value. I’ve always found myself thinking beyond what’s there, imagining sequels, reworking mechanics, swapping characters between worlds or wondering how a completely different concept might fit into something familiar.

Sometimes that means small changes. Other times it means ideas that are a bit more out there.

Over time, that way of thinking never really went away. If anything, it became more structured. I started to think less in terms of “wouldn’t this be cool?” and more in terms of “how would this actually work?”

That’s where Canonyx comes in.

This site isn’t about claiming to have the right answers, and it’s not about predicting what will happen next. It’s simply a space to explore ideas properly, whether they’re grounded, speculative or somewhere in between.

Some posts focus on character concepts and game design. Others look at lore, history, or how certain ideas could be expanded further. And sometimes it’s just about following a thought far enough to see if it holds up.

At its core, Canonyx is just a record of that process. A place for ideas that felt worth exploring, and maybe worth sharing.

Some ideas are worth overthinking.

In short

Canonyx is a place for game concepts, lore, speculation and the ideas that probably get more thought than they need.
