Mr. Monopoly may appear to be an absurd Smash pitch, but Monopoly’s long gaming history, iconic tokens and chaotic board-game mechanics make him a stranger, stronger candidate than he first appears. He’s not the most realistic candidate, but it might be exactly the kind of ridiculous design challenge that Smash thrives on.
